Revival of the

Harbor Councils

No one knows more about your harbor home than you!

The Friends of the Marine Community is revamping an old tradition in the harbor system. HARBOR COUNCILS are a means of looking at your harbor and reporting the findings to the Board of FOMC. With the city proposing the MOORING TAX

again, you need to have a voice in your harbor.

The Yacht Clubs speak for their members but who speaks for you, the every day, average boater. We do the Friends of the Marine Community. FOMC is your voice on the Lakefront.

If you are interested in being involved on what is happening in the harbor system then e-mail FOMC at hotline@fomc.net. Let us know your interest. Get involved while being informed. Tell us your name, harbor, and phone number as well as your e-mail address and this will get you started. This will help keep your summer home just the way you like it. FOMC needs whatever information we can learn from each harbor to help make your stay in your harbor and on your boat even more enjoyable each season.

With e-mail you can make your reports simple and not have to attend a meeting. But as always your presence would be appreciated. You will be elected to the board of FOMC and be kept informed of all that is going on in the harbor system first hand. We need at least one or two boaters from each harbor, Burnham, Monroe, DuSable, Belmont, Montrose, Diversey, 59th Street, Jackson Inner and Jackson Outer.

Don’t complain if you are not involved. There is strength in numbers. If your not a member of FOMC than JOIN TODAY!

Thank You,

Capt. Sonny Lisowski

President,

Friends of the Marine Community
